Chapter 8 — SuretyPH How-To Guides
How to Respond When Additional Documents Are Requested
When SuretyPH requests something further, it appears as a requirement on your bond request with an upload button, and often as a message from the SuretyPH team. A request is neither an approval nor a decline.
Direct answer
Sign in, open the bond request, and upload the item beside the requirement that was added. Reply in the message area if anything needs explaining.
Steps
1. Sign in and open My Bond Requests, then the request concerned. 2. Look at Requirements requested. Each item shows its label, any instructions and its state — Requested, Submitted, Accepted or Waived. 3. Select Upload beside the item, or Replace to substitute a file you already sent. The item moves to Submitted once your file is attached. 4. Check the Information requested panel on the same page if it is shown; it carries the details SuretyPH has asked for in writing. 5. Use the message box to reply, and Attach file if you need to send something that does not match a listed requirement. Select Send message. 6. If a document is already stored under Company Documents, you can retrieve it there and upload it against the requirement.
What a request means
It means more information is needed before the matter can be taken further. It does not necessarily mean approval, and it does not necessarily mean decline. Clarification is a normal part of evaluation — see Why Incomplete Documents Can Delay Evaluation and What Happens After the Underwriter Completes the Evaluation?.
Practical points
- Send the actual document rather than a description of it.
- Include all pages, and check that the file opens and is legible.
- If a document genuinely differs from another already submitted, explain the difference rather than adjusting anything.
- Keep everything within the SuretyPH request and message area so the record stays in one place. Do not route documents around the process through public or unsecured channels; handling follows the Privacy Notice and Application Consent.
Key considerations
Evaluation, underwriting, documentary requirements, terms, premium, collateral requirements where applicable, approval and issuance remain functions of the applicable participating insurer or Surety. SuretyPH provides information, accepts inquiries, supports document submission, facilitates applications and communicates status.
Key takeaway
Requested items appear on your bond request with an upload button and move to Submitted once you attach a file. A request for more information is neither an approval nor a decline.
